Dr. Alijani joined our staff in June 2008 after completing his residency and fellowship in neuroradiology at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in New York.  He was an undergrad at University of CA Los Angeles and received his MD from the University of CA San Diego in 2002.  

Personal:
Dr. Alijani was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to Southern California at the age of 12.  He enjoys playing volleyball, racquetball, running, bike riding, and spending time with his wife and 2 children.

    Dr. Bahl joined North State Radiology in July 2011 after completing his fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, including neuro, musculoskeletal, and body MRI, at UC San Diego. He attended Yale University where he was awarded the Allan Bromley Prize for “Superior Accomplishment and Scholarly Achievement in Biomedical Engineering”. He is also a Certificate of Merit Recipient for his 2010 Electronic Presentation at the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS). He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Radiological Society of North American (RSNA).

    Personal:
    Dr. Bahl grew up in Chico and was valedictorian of his class at Pleasant Valley High School. In his spare time he enjoys running, working out, weights, basketball, poker, and traveling.

    Dr. Brandon joined North State Radiology in September 2008.  Prior to that he was the Staff Radiologist at Naval Medical Center in San Diego and the Staff Radiologist/Department Head at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan, where he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal. After earning his D.O. in 1996, he completed his internship and residency at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Brandon currently serves on the Mammography Committee at North State Radiology.

    Dr. Brannen grew up in Northern California and is married with 2 children. In his spare time he enjoys backpacking, soccer, skiing, and golf.

    Dr. Cannon has advanced qualifications (CAQ) as an Interventional Radiologist and performs a wide range of special procedures including (non-cardiac) angioplasty, stent placement, and image guided pain management techniques. He pioneered the local practice of vertebroplasty, the latest technique in "mending" spinal fractures that occur with Osteoporosis. He has since been elected to the American Society of Spine Radiologists. He is the medical director of North State Radiology’s intervention center, Chico Spine & Vascular, and serves on the interventional committee as well.

    Dr. Cannon was born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia. He served in the US army for 4 years as staff radiologist before going into private practice in Eureka, CA. An avid diver, golfer, and kayak enthusiast, he has made Chico his home since 1991.

He has been in practice since 1972; on active duty in Berlin, Germany from 1972 - 1975 as Chief of Radiology of US Army Hospital in Berlin before coming to Chico in 1976.     Dr. Petty was born in Nuremberg Germany while his father was stationed there, and he was raised from childhood in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Dr. Petty has been in practice since 1996 in the mid-west, and later in Portland, OR before making Chico his home in 1998. He is an avid backpacker and bicyclist. He greatly enjoys the wonders of Northern, CA.

    Dr. Schlund was born and raised in Whittier, CA. Upon completion of his Imaging Fellowship at Chapel Hill, he moved to Chico in 1994 to start a family and practice Radiology. A commercial pilot and former flight instructor, he enjoys fishing with his daughters, flying, and camping.

During this time he also served as a part time Teleradiologist with University Physicians Healthcare. Dr. Vogel is passionate about interventional radiology with special areas of interest including interventional oncology, uterine fibroid embolization, care of dialysis patients, treatment of varicoceles, trauma, TIPS and image-guided therapy for spinal pain.     Dr. Vogel grew up in San Mateo, CA and is married with 2 children. He enjoys cycling, golf, telemark skiing, and snowboarding. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

    Dr. Warren performs a wide range of special procedures in addition to practicing general Diagnostic Radiology.     Dr. Warren was born in New York City (Governor's Island, which looks at the statue of Liberty) and raised in Staten Island, New York as well as parts of Europe. Later, he moved to Florham Park, New Jersey. In practice since 1997, he has lived in Loma Linda, CA and Philadelphia, PA, prior to coming to Chico in 2002. He enjoys motorcycle riding, home improvement, modern design, and traveling.
